Most nonprofits are only asking for cash and check. Yet according to U.S. Census Bureau data, roughly 90% of household wealth is held in non-cash assets: appreciated stock, IRAs, real estate, and more. That gap between where donor wealth lives and what organizations are equipped to receive represents one of the most overlooked opportunities in charitable giving today.
This session focuses on two of the most accessible and impactful tax-efficient giving vehicles available to donors right now: gifts of appreciated stock and Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs).
Attendees will leave knowing what these gifts look like in practice, which donors are the best candidates, how to build the internal infrastructure to receive them, and how to time outreach for maximum impact.
